Pear Shape Semi-Mount Diamond Engagement Ring

The point of a pear is what the eye finds first, and the seat of this semi-mount engagement ring is set so that point will fall cleanly along the finger once a stone of 0.85 Ctw to 1.20 Ctw is chosen. Along the shoulders, 12 round cut diamonds are prong set in a delicate run that narrows toward the back of the band. Each is held open on all sides for maximum light return. The taper of the shoulders is what gives a pear ring its balance, and at this scale that adjustment does more for the proportion than any additional stone would.
